The eternal flame that has been burning inside the temple continuously since the time of immemorial and this temple draws both Hindus and Buddhists pilgrims alike. Many Shaligrams (Ammonite) found here are considered by Hindu as the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and worship them.
Muktinath temple lies in Annapurna conservation area. To enter in this area you need two permits. One is Annapurna Conservation Area Project Permit (ACAP) and another is Trekker’s Information Management System Permit (TIMS). It is restricted to enter in this zone without collecting these two permits.
