Best Times to Go for the Everest Panorama Trek
Spring (March to May)
Spring is considered to be one of the most favored seasons for the Everest Panorama Trek 9 Days. It has favorable weather and amazing natural scenery. The daytime temperature at high elevations reflects a change from 7°C (45°F) in March to about 15°C (59°F) in May, while at night, temperatures dip between -12°C (10°F)-0°C (32°F).
This makes trekking really enjoyable besides affording vistas of Everest, Ama Dablam, and many other surrounding peaks under clear blue skies. The trails are lined with blooming rhododendrons and changing leaves of the forests. The chances of rainfall and snowfall are very minimal during the Spring Season, which makes it one of the most favorable seasons.
Autumn (September to November)
Another delightful season for the Everest Panorama Trek is Autumn, with clear blue skies. The freshness resulting from the post-monsoon season comes along, and the fine weather circles around the region with a moderate climate. The average humidity in daytime temperatures is between 12 degrees Celsius (54 degrees Fahrenheit) and 6 degrees Celsius (43 degrees Fahrenheit) at the higher altitudes. Similarly, the ambient temperatures at night range from -4 degrees Celsius (25 degrees Fahrenheit) to -12 degrees Celsius (10 degrees Fahrenheit).
Like Spring, the Autumn Season also comes with less chance of rainfall and snowfall. So, there can’t be anything better than this season, as it offers visibility that trekkers can dream of, with absolutely clear skies over the mighty Himalayas.
Major attractions of Everest Panorama Trek
The Everest Panorama Trek 9 Days offers a life time experience for no doubt. You see amazing mountains and also learn a whole lot about the lifestyle in the Himalayas. The journey has plenty of finding out as well as experience.
Below are several of the major attractions of the Everest Panorama Trek:
Flight to Lukla
Lukla flight terminal is located at the altitude of 2,860 meters. It is just one of the highest possible airports in the world. The tiny runway and the air route to this airport make the flight experience stressful. The aerial views of the Himalayas throughout the flight are amazing as well. Flight to Lukla is one of the major attractions and gateway to Mount Everest.
Sagarmatha National Park
The Everest Panorama Trek route passes through the Sagarmatha National Park. The park begins from Monjo onwards to Mount Everest as we descend towards our destination. The Sagarmatha National Park has a diverse climate that ranges from subtropical to the towering zone.
The Sagarmatha National Park has numerous rivers, falls, chasms, marines, lakes and many more natural beauties. On our trail, you will find most of these natural wonders. Residence to numerous species of birds, wild animals, and plants, the trail is extremely enriching.
Everest View Hotel
Everest View Hotel is a luxury lodge hotel situated at the high altitude. At 3,870 meters, this hotel is just one of the highest luxury resorts worldwide as well as also holds the document in the Guinness Globe Record Publication. The modern contemporary style of the resort amidst the giant hills and also environment-friendly hills resembles heaven. One of the most distinct thing about this world is you can see the view of Mount Everest and also various other mountains from all of its windows.
The Sherpa culture, Museum and Ancient monasteries
What makes trekking in the Everest area much more compelling is the locals and also their practices. A lot of the residents below are followers of Buddhism or Tibetan Buddhism. The Everest Panorama Trek route offers a glance of the cultural richness of the area. You’ll find numerous abbeys, stupas, Chortens, petition wheels, as well as prayer flags while strolling.
Not only that, we check out a few of the substantial abbeys as we head to our destination. For instance, the Tengboche monastery is the largest monastery in the Khumbu area that we check out in Tengboche town. Also, Khumjung as well as Pangboche are a couple of other monasteries that we are more likely to check out.
Permits and Licenses
To go for the Everest Panorama Trek, you must have two trekking permits: Sagarmatha National Park and Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Entry Permit. You can get these permits from Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu or from Monjo check post in Everest region.
The cost of Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit is NPR 3000 for International Trekkers, NPR 1000 for SAARC Nationals, and NPR 100 for Nepalese Trekkers. Similarly, the cost of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Municipality Entry Permit is NPR 3000 per person.
Communication and Internet During Everest Panorama Trek
It is indeed possible to stay connected while trekking the Everest Panorama Trek, although there are some limitations. Most villages along the route, like Namche and Tengboche, have Wi-Fi service available at teahouses, and one must pay a small price, mostly by purchasing Everest Link cards. Basic network coverage is provided by Ncell and Nepal Telecom, although reception is poor in most places and very weak at higher altitudes. To stay in touch during your trek, it’s possible to purchase a local prepaid SIM card in Kathmandu that offers an internet package.
As you go further upwards, connectivity will be weaker and weaker. It would be better to download offline maps and important documents in advance. Communication with loved ones is available in remote features, but once in a while, you carry the internet, so you can keep them posted. You have to be patient when you get that slow speed for sure in this rugged, spectacular land.
Why Is Travel Insurance Essential?
Because of the risks that come with high-altitude trekking, travel insurance is a must for the Everest Panorama Trek. It provides coverage for medical emergencies such as altitude sickness, which could require helicopter evacuation-a very costly but vital government necessity in the Himalayas. Cancellation, trip delays, and loss of possessions are also covered in policies that offer financial protection against unforeseen events.
Because Everest Panorama Trek is extremely isolated, any minor injuries or sickness may require professional help. In fact, travel protection is supposed to be comprehensive for high-altitude trekking adventures above 4,000m. Emergency evacuation, hospitalization, and trip interruption should be included to ensure calmness during this experience, which may occur only once in a lifetime. We advise you to purchase travel insurance from companies like World Trips, Travelex, and Allianz.
Importance of Guides and Porters during Everest Panorama Trek
Hiring guides and porters during the Everest Panorama Trek enhances safety, cultural understanding, and overall convenience in the trek. Guides are especially knowledgeable about trail navigation, altitude-related problems, and knowledge of local Sherpa culture, traditions, and landmarks. Thus, they help make trekking interesting and enriching while helping participants avoid many pitfalls involved.
Similarly, porters make your essential loads light: they carry gear around so that you can concentrate on the trek without exhaustion. In the meantime, it helps in employing residents to further support the economy of the Everest region. Involving these professionals gives more contact to the area as it makes trekking more enjoyable and less physically demanding.
Hot Drinking Water on the Trail
The hot drinking water is essential for hydration and warmth during the Everest Panorama Trek 9 Days. Almost every teahouse supplies boiled water, but a majority charges an extra fee for it. The pricing increases with height from $1-$3 per liter. It is good to carry a reusable water bottle or thermos so that the warm water can be stored for long periods.
Another option, especially for budget travelers, is to bring water purification tablets or a portable filtration system. So, one can treat tap or stream water; these sources are abundant but not safe for consumption without purification. For fighting altitude sickness and maintaining energy levels, hydration is important.
Currency Exchange and ATMs During Everest Panorama Trek
The main currency you’ll be using along the treks is the Nepali rupee (NPR). We suggest you exchange currencies in Kathmandu, where you can find competitive rates and easily withdraw with ATMs. Namche Bazaar has a few exchange services but it is very limited.
Carrying cash for food, lodges, and your services is mandatory. The further up the trail, the higher the price; almost everywhere, credit cards are not accepted. Keep a change for transaction convenience, as change is sometimes hard to come by in remote areas.

This landmark is an exciting introduction to Nepal with its intricate architecture and brilliant local life.
For a pleasant beginning of your travel season, temperature conditions in Kathmandu can be said to be moderate: 10-20° C. Today, you will have a full briefing regarding your coming trek in the Everest region. Also, you will prepare for a breathtaking mountain trek and enjoy rich cultural experiences. You can set your gear and all essentials ready for the trek. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Today, the day starts with a warm breakfast at your hotel, after which you take a thirty-five-minute flight to Lukla (2,800m). The flight offers sights of snow-capped peaks of Langtang and Gauri Shankar.
After reaching Lukla, you will meet your trekking crew and start trekking towards Phakding at 2,610 meters above sea level. The trail dives into a lush landscape of rhododendron woods, insignificant settlements, and a pleasant walk along the Dudh Koshi River.
Phakding is a small Sherpa village situated by massive green hills. The temperature here might fluctuate from about 5°C to 15°C. The distance to be covered is about 8 kilometers within a timeframe of about 3-4 hours. Overnight at a tea house in Phakding.
Traveling from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) takes a trek of 10-12 kilometers in 5-6 hours. From suspension bridge to suspension bridge, often amongst unending thundering rivers and pines, the path rises to the renowned Hillary Suspension Bridge. The beautiful nature around the Himalayas starts to gain an alpine beauty, with small glimpses of peaks such as Thamserku (6,608m) once you reach Monjo.
Monjo is the entry point for Sagarmatha National Park, initiating the process of locating a culturally diverse region. If you have not purchased trekking permits like Sagarmatha National Park and Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Municipality Entry Permits, you can obtain them here. Trekking a few hours from Monjo will finally take you to Namche Bazaar, the gate to Everest.
Namche Bazaar is a busy Sherpa center with its colored markets, ethnic houses, and teahouses. When night time starts, the temperature also drops to around – 5°C; hence it will be highly required for you to carry some warm clothes with you. First Everest glimpse can be seen at Namche Bazaar and you will stay overnight in the Hotel at.
The fourth day of the Everest Panorama Trek is reserved for acclimatization and a short hike. There is a short hike up to the Everest View Hotel, which lies at an elevation of about 3,880m, viewing some amazing scenes of Everest (8,848m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), and other Himalayas. You’ll find prayer flags, mani stones, and other cultural riches within Sherpa villages along your hike.
After that hike, you will get back to Namche Bazaar and enjoy the crowded streets of the bustling town. You can visit the Sherpa Museum to learn about their cultures and the history of mountaineering. Daytime temperatures hover at about 5 degrees Celsius and drop to about -10 Celsius at night; layering is essential. This is an entire rest day, both from physical strain and with insights into different cultures of the majestic Himalayas. It is also very important to focus on hydration, nutrition, and proper rest and sleep.
Today, we will hike from Namche Bazaar to one of the most beautiful villages in the Khumbu region, Tengboche. The trek over to Tengboche (3,870m) is one such high point of the journey, being a blend of cultural sites with very beautiful sceneries. This trek, which covers a distance of about 10 kilometers within 5-6 hours, starts gently climbing through dense rhododendron forests. The trail then goes down to the Dudh Koshi River before the final uphill climb to Tengboche. Incredible views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam can be seen during the journey, looking even more impressive with further height.
It is the Tengboche monastery that draws most of the attention in this day’s itinerary. Built by Lama Gulu in 1916, this monastery carries the invaluable significance of Tibetan Buddhism in the Khumbu region. You can sit in attendance at prayer ceremonies with monks for a more cultural experience. The temperature ranges between 0 to -10 Degrees Celsius in Tengboche, so having sleeping bags is recommended. Overnight stay at a tea house in Tengboche.
On the sixth day of the Everest Panorama Trek, you will start your hike to Monjo from Tengboche. Starting the day with a warm breakfast, you will take a gentle descent through beautiful pine forests and a few little settlements. This makes it a slightly less challenging day, as it involves a distance of approximately 13-15 km in 6-7 hours to get back to Monjo (2835m).
The most beautiful aspect of this walk is the wonderful sight of the Himalayas, with the great Ama Dablam always in view. Also, the warm and hospitable culture of the Sherpa community adds flavor to your journey.
As you descend, you will cross the suspension bridges, then go through the bright rhododendron and then the best of the two sides, all this time enjoying the serene charm of the Dudh Koshi river valley. Monjo is the entrance into Sagarmatha National Park and granted provisions make it a quiet overnight village. The average temperature of Monjo ranges between 5°C and -5°C, so make sure that you are prepared for it.
It is the last day of the trek, where we will hike from Monjo to Lukla. This last day of trekking takes you to Lukla (2,800m), roughly 16 kilometers in 6–7 hours. This part of the trek further includes gentle ascents and descents through several villages, such as Phakding, Nurning, and Chheplung. The paths are well maintained and offer one last view of the towering peaks before you finally head off to the Dudh Koshi River.
Reaching Lukla, you can celebrate success in the trek with your team. Perfect tea houses of Lukla have a fun ambience to mark an end to your walking journey. You can enjoy your last night within the Everest region before heading back to Kathmandu tomorrow.
Today, we fly to Kathmandu from Lukla. This takes about 35 minutes and is quite thrilling; it gives one some time to feel the beauty of the Himalayan peaks. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. Well, it is a perfect day for visiting the UNESCO sites of the city, such as Boudhanath Stupa and the Pashupatinath Temple, or going in for that last-minute shopping for souvenirs.
Farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant in the evening allows celebration of the end of the trek with authentic local tastes and warm hospitality. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
