Preparation for Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek with Helicopter Return
Guides and Porters
They are an integral part of the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek with Helicopter Return in making sure everything goes on smoothly and that the trek is a success.
Guides with extensive experience in the Everest region offer knowledge of the region and explain the terrain, people, and culture around the trekking area. They also have good navigational skills which assist in other potential risks like altitude sickness and difficulties of finding one’s way in difficult passages. Their presence also helps trekkers maintain the correct pace for the degradation of speed which is beneficial for the safety of the trekkers. Also, guides can assist in case of emergencies and help with, especially for beginners, reassurance during this physically challenging trek.
Porters are also highly important in the completion of the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek With Helicopter Return as they are responsible for carrying large packs containing personal equipment and other supplies. With this, trekkers have little to carry and concentrate on the journey rather than straining themselves too much. As a result of the extreme altitude and unforgiving trail systems, porters assure that trekkers do not risk overexerting themselves and can soak in the beauty of nature and culture the trek has to offer.
Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit
Anyone who wishes to trek in the Everest Region requires the Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit. This permit balances access to the trails and sights of the park with protecting the natural environment. NPR 3000 is charged to International trekkers, NPR 1000 for SAARC Nations and NPR 100 for Nepali Trekkers.
Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Municipality Entry Permit
Trekkers have to obtain another permit which is the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Municipality Entry Permit, which is needed to access the Khumbu region. The amount which is charged for this permit is NPR 3000 out of all components for this permit, irrespective of the nationality of the trekkers.
Communication and Internet During Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek with Helicopter Return
Communication and Internet during the Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek with Helicopter Return is limited because of its remoteness. Some lodges and tea houses offer limited Wi-Fi along the trekking route. However, the service is often slow due to high usage. You can remain connected by sourcing a local SIM card, such as from Ncell or Nepal Telecom, which offers reasonable data and voice packs. You can use these SIMs in most of the trails but there is a high chance of losing their signal as you go up the mountain.
Satellite phones are essential for effective communication, particularly during emergencies. It becomes so significant for adventure travelers who have opted for the more altitudinal treks, where weather and terrain conditions can be quite risky.

Although the variety of your menu may lessen as you go up, the meals will still be hearty and filling. Snacks and hot beverages, including tea and coffee, are always available to energize and warm you along the way.
Accommodation facilities on the trek range from the traditional mountain lodge to luxurious [only in Namche]. Rooms are usually clean and comfortable, provided with standard amenities such as shared bathrooms and cozy beds with hot blankets. Luxury lodges provide en suite bathrooms, heated dining areas, and considerably high comfort levels. It is an experience where you find yourself at complete rest after the day’s trek. At the same time, you can enjoy the spectacular view of the surrounding peaks.
