Mount Ama Dablam is a beautiful mountain, located to the south of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse in the most popular Khumbu region. Ama Dablam is one of the prettiest mountains on earth at an altitude of 6,856 m / 22,494 ft. It is a steep pyramid of ice with lofty walls and sharp bare ridges. It is also known as the “Matterhorn of the Himalaya”. The glacier is hanging on the southwest face of Mt. Ama Dablam in the high resembling a ‘Dablam’ – the sacred ornament box worn by symbolizing Sherpa Ladies which became the reason to call her name “Ama Dablam”.
This mountain stands above Tengboche Monastery which is another pearl of beauty because of its setting and architecture combination on the way to Everest Base Camp. Ama Dablam expedition offers one of the best viewpoints in the Himalayas with superb views of five above 8000 m mountains including the Everest.

The climbing on this route involves pure rock climbing on exquisite granite followed by mixed snow climbing. From the top of Mount Ama Dablam, there are very charming sceneries of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Island peak, Khumbu Himalayan, Makalu and rest of the snow-covered surrounded mountains.
